Before Travelling: The necessary points that are to be remembered by travelers are;
- For children: If you are accompanying children who are below 15 years, it is very important to carry first-aid, water bottle, and some snacks or food items. Based on the seasons, the things that have to be carried also changes. In rainy/winter season, carry less luggage, check whether your child is completely covered with woolen clothes, and waterproof. Inhalers and insulin should be surely carried if the child is asthmatic and diabetic. Let the child be comfortable with socks, gloves, and muffler so as to prevent the body from chills. Avoid serving junk foods to children before travelling. If the children suffer with motion sickness, it is very important to administer anti-emetic drug as advised by the doctor.
- For adults: Carry a pair of clothes; see that the luggage is not heavy. Wear cotton fabrics so that you shall feel comfortable. Pregnant women should carry her medicines and a water bottle. In case of emergency, they should not travel alone.
- While Travelling: If you are travelling in a flight/car check whether the seat belt is fine or not. Check if the ticket is checked by the transport agency. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking cigar in the public transport services. Carry a plastic air-tight bag, so that in case of sudden nausea and vomiting, it shall help you to recover.
- After Travelling: Luggage should be checked, take full bath, refresh yourself with ginger tea, or coffee. Take complete rest if you are restless of long journeys.
